Kept lookin at them and just had to do it.

    Yup.
Be sure to feed it well, and often.

I have had my pt1911 for a couple of months now. I love it...out of the box it was great. I have put about 50 rounds through it..

just built a new holster for myself for it.
  4. And to think, Berto, for that same money you could have bought yourself a nice Glock 21 or 30! :D ;) :p

Sounds like a young woman I once knew - after looking too long, I just had to have her. So the polar bears wandered off and died, after promising to not eat her.

Probably so, Pistol. But I don't think I would enjoy it near as much as the one I did buy.

Preciate ya thinking of me tho. It's nice to know that folks care.

I just bought a Taurus PT-1911 last Saturday (4/07) at the Spokane Gun Show for $495, no tax but $10 to transfer to an Idaho dealer. My dad bought one for $499.99 +tax at Blacksheep two or three weeks earlier. We went out the next day to try them out and from a rest I shot a 2" group at 20-25 yards. I like the Heinnie sights with the two dot set up. I sold my older Springfield Champion 4" at the same gun show for $425 (I paid $400 in '94, new). My ten year old daughter likes, too. She shot three or four clips of 230 grainers through mine and my dad's. If we hadn't run out of ammo she would still be shootin' it!:D The Taurus field strips easy as you would expect and goes together even easier. For the money I don't see how you could go wrong! I think I'm going to buy a Ted Blocker IWB http://www.tedblockerholsters.com/DA3.html holster for it since my belt slide shows too much slide below the belt. The Taurus is all steel and not a light weight but it sure feels good to shoot. My daughter has been bugging me for an XD45, but now she wants a Taurus and a S&W M&P45. For those who don't know, my girl has become a gun nut!!! Anyone thinking of buyuing a Taurus 1911... DO IT!!!:)
