O.K. let's say that you have to give up all your guns except for one (no reason, could be because of financial reasons or whatever). Which one would you keep? I would keep my Ithaca 16ga pump, it's just a smooth gun to shoot and it's reliable.

    Unthinkable. Here's the minimum:
Air rifle, air pistol, 22 rifle, 22 pistol, 30-06, 12 gauge, 44 magnum, pocket revolver, big auto pistol and a battle rifle.

The one I would keep is the Revelation Mod 150 (a Marlin 49 clone) that my dad got me for Christmas when I was 14-15 years old. It is not very reliable anymore, it jams often, but it has sentimental value you can't put a price on.

that is a real toughy, but I think I would have to keep my AR, and I would do all I could to hang on to my 1911

There's another thread, floatin' around here, about, "If you could only have one 22 pistol". I can't even narrow it down to one 22 pistol out of a dozen or so, and you want me to narrow it down to one gun? Ain't gonna happen.

I'd be kickin, screamin, and bleedin or just plain ol' dead, before that'll ever happen, so will everybody around me in one way or another. ;)

Like they said in the movie, "Thats a fact, Jack". :D

Depends on the country. I would have to be a calibre common to that country, 9mm in Europe, 5.56mm in the US. The type? location, location, location. Wide open plains, woods or city? Rifle, shotgun, handgun. To select I would need to know more.

Current location, any good rifle in 7.62x51.

    Alien concept, does not compute.

Hypothetically, 12 gauge Mossberg police model (3"magnum) has never failed me and gets good results, in 22 years of regular use. Only one time have I had to shoot the same critter twice with it.

I feel the same and HAVE had to sell off a few guns recently for one reason or another, the last to go will be the AR-15, second in line is the 1911 Colt .45
