I traded some small rifle primers for large rifle primers. They turned out to be Tul Ammo large rifle magnum primers. Are they safe to use in a .30-06? If they are safe, do I need to adjust the powder charge? Anyone have any comments on this type of primer? I've never used them before.
I use nothing but tulammo primers, for small pistol anyway. They have not failed to go off, so far. Really good primers far a good price, at least they used to sell for a good price, they're just as high as the other ones now.
Magnums can safely be used in any cartridge. Just make sure you use the right size. And as with any component change, reduce you charge to starting and work back up.
Thank you. I wanted large rifle but the LGS just had large rifle magnum. I just wanted to make sure they were safe for my deer rifle.
