    Hello
I am new to the forum and to reloading. I purchased a Lee breach lock challenger kit. I was sizing and de-priming my first cases today (38 special) and the spent primers do not go into the receptacle and feeder tube intended for them. I am wondering if the ram was installed improperly. There is a slit on one side of the ram the spent primer comes tumbling out of, but it is on the opposite side of the press from the primer receptacle. Looking at pictures of the press in the literature, they appear to be the same as mine. Have I done something incorrectly?
    Thanks for any help.

There should be a small block that came with your press, it is used for inserting the new primer, if that is not in place the spent primers will fall out of the slot where the priming peice I mentioned goes.

Thank You. As I intended to prime off the press I hadn't even looked for that part. As you say, with it inserted, the primer falls where it should.

Harralson, welcome to The Firearms Forum and welcome to reloading. You will find that both are very addicting!! Just keep one thing in mind while reloading - Safety First always!

I did exactly the same thing when I started. It says something about the lack of instructions that come with the set.

The Lee website is a good source of videos and instructions.

I did the same also. The instructions are lacking at times.
