Life Sentence... Enough said. He should stay there until he dies, only time he should get to leave is when they have the hole ready for him and put the dirt on top.

I saw this the other day with some big robber (you would all know who he was) who was released on compassionate grounds too as his death was supposedly "imminent". Let people die in prison, I sure hope this isn't a trend that will move to the US!

(The thief might even deserve it more since he in prison and broke out and spent most his life living it up in the southern hemisphere).

Public Hanging and let the body stay there for three days before it is cut down. END OF STORY

If he were responsible for the horror inflicted on those innocent people both on the airliner and those killed on the ground, I would agree with the above.

unfortunately the investigation and trial fell short of positively identifying all those responsible, and some would say the real culprits were never caught.

I think they should turn him over to the families of the people he killed if they are going to let him out.

Letting people out on "compassionate grounds" a good solution for a sloppy justice system then?

There is no excuse for a sloppy justice system is there? Mistakes however are made, in this case I, and many others believe justice was not fully done. Given the scale and gravity of the crime that was inexcusable.

The guilty should suffer, of course. But they must be guilty, those truly responsible. That surely is justice.

He was guilty alright. He just refused to turn in his companions that committed the crime with him. That is one of the reasons no one else was ever implicated with him in the crime.

Does it really matter that he has cancer, there a ton of people in prison who have cancer i would vote to keep him in prison for the rest of this life.

To allow him out would truly be an injustice.

I'm sorry, but that's the way I was raised!!
  20. Set him adrift in a leaky zodiac boat in Scapa Flow in the dead of winter, I say! Better yet, send him to Dublin with the words "I hate Papists and the IRA" tattooed on his forehead. :D
