I've been getting pretty PO'd lately with California's horrible gun laws.
I found out recently that soon it will be illegal to sell 1911 type pistols of any kind because, they don't have a chambered round indicator!

Our best friend for a century, Our best friend through 5 major wars.

Not only are they keeping 1911's away from us, they jack up the prices of just about everything they actually LET us have.

in order to purchase a handgun you must first:

    1. Buy a handgun safety manual
    2. Spend $35-40 to take a test on the book
    3. Pay outrageous prices on the gun
    4. Spend another $35-40 DROS fee
    5. Wait at least 10 days for no appearent reason

Not only is getting a gun extremely difficult, it is near impossible to get a CC permit.

"...the right of the people to keep and bare arms shall not be infringed"

They've completely taken away my right to bare arms
    and
Are trying to take away my right to keep arms

I don't call keeping a gun unloaded in a safe at home "baring arms"

The only ones that SHOULDN'T be allowed to have guns, are the sh**ty liberals that try to control every aspect of my life.

Is it even safe for me to take a dump in my own bathroom anymore?
I doubt it will be for much longer.

Actually the loaded chamber indicator might be easy to implement but the requirement as of 01/01/2007 is a magazine safety too. That is, a device the stops the gun from firing unless the magazine is in the gun and fully seated.

The result of these two new requirements (done by law, not regulations) is that only modern new designs like most of the plastic guns and S&W semi-autos will be available in California. This is all part of the gun-ban'ers plot to take away gun rights a little at a time since they in no way can do it blatantly.

The trick is to buy every handgun that does not have these safety features that is on the CA DOJ Safety approved list before each individuals gun's certification runs out (expiration is varible dependent on when each gun was last certified---go to http://ag.ca.gov/firearms/ for the latest list and look at the expiration date column for the gun of interest).

What freaks me out is what little press this massive change is getting. It won't happen all at once (only when certification runs out) but over the next few years the list will get shorter and shorter. This will keep it out of the news as it will just kind of phase in before the public recognises what is happening. Sure wish I knew how to get some publicity on this into the publics hands. Unfortunately I think the manufacturers have given up on California and written it off for future gun sales.

 All TRUE TRUE TRUE!
Buy 'em while you can get 'em! In Contra Costa County, you can donate $10,000 to the Sheriff's reelection campaign & join his volunteer Possee to get a CCW. Otherwise..FORGET IT!

Coltonator, I love your sign off!

    One step at a time.
That is how they are taking away your rights.
And the people are letting them do it. :(
  5. Yes they are Pick. The plan is obvious to anyone with an IQ larger than his hat size. California's policies constitute a gun ban, pure and simple. Colton, your only solution is to get the hell out of the People's Republic of California!
