I'm getting a late start this year...deer season is less than a month away. DOH!

Been working on a new load for my CZ550 in 6.5x55. 1-8.6" twist.
I'm playing around with a couple boxes of the bulk Remington 120gr PSPs that've been collecting dust since they don't stabilize well in my M96 or M38 Swedes. The CZ definitely likes my mild 140gr load that I've got worked up for my old Mausers...quarter-sized groups at 100yds. But since the CZ is a newer rifle I'm just trying to squeeze the full potential from the case.

    44.0grs and 45.0grs of IMR4350 and the Remington 120gr.
Best group I've been able to get with these two loads is about 1.5" @ 100yds. The 45.0gr loading is more consistent. That's acceptable for deer hunting, but I'm always on the hunt for better. :D

I might wind up going back to the 140gr after these are burned up...

Anyone else shooting 120gr out of the 6.5x55? And how did they group?

Oh...figured that I'd better add that these loads for the CZ are segregated from my mild Mauser 6.5x55 loads by label and color-coded cartridge boxes.
No, I don't want to run any hot loads through the old girls...they might get mad at me! :D
