loads for 308 and 243

    hi guys
    just wondering if any of you out there had any nice accurate loads for either the 243 or 308.
    the problem is im in ireland and im kinda limited to what materials i use,so im stuck with either vit n140,vit n160 or varget

    Accurate is relative gun to gun. You just have to use a manual & work from starting load up to where you get good accuracy & the load works well. Do you have a manual?

    I've found that the Sierra loading manual is a great place to start working up an accurate load using their components. They usually mention an "accuracy" load and a "hunting" load for each caliber/bullet weight combo. You can start with that load to work towards the best load for your particular gun.

    hi guys
    yeh ive the manual
    jesus not just one quite a few
    last night at the range i had 8 rounds in a quarter inch group at 124 yards with my .243
    now that ive gotten a nice load for that ill try my .308

    I don't load those calibers so can't help much but it sounds like you're doing pretty well by yourself.
