    Tranter...oh man. Sorry, I really LOL'd.
That's so ridiculous. I'm SO sorry things are so bad there. I walked through two U.S. airports TWICE EACH better armed than that without raising suspicions.
    (Insert Home Defense alert here.)

    PM me for "how."

Sorry, mods if this needs to be deleted. do so at will. I know it's "on the edge."

One of mine that has done sterling work, on more than a couple of continents! A British military knife, like a sharp pry bar. :)

Id get a Becker 7 or 9 before a K-Bar, but either are good for what you want to use it for.

Hey Tranter, that looks like a full-tang heavy duty little knife. How thick is it? I might just need/want one of those. Got a name I can look for?
    I does love my cutlery.
It even has a little crossguard in case my hands get slippery.

It's a 7" blade, one quarter inch thick along the spine and goes all the way, front to back. Weighs 550 grams, which is about a pound. British military issue, costs about £45.00 here, which at 1.6 makes about $70.00.

They are incredibly strong, almost unbreakable and can peel an apple, or hack through a door.

I am happy to get one for you and send, just PM me to make arrangements if you want. Oh, and you can get them with either fibre scales like mine or sometimes wood.

Here's a link to one dealer that carries them:
