I have a beautiful Remington 552 BDL,owned it for years. noticed about 6 months ago the barrel was loose, took it to my neighborhood gunsmith and he fixed it right up. Said it was a bad seal? I bought an old Remington 572 pump action about 2 months ago and same thing, loose barrel. Anybody have this problem? These are not cheap rifles,as a matter of fact I think I could get 2 1/2 10-22's for what they cost. not that I would want 2 and a half rifles................any way love the rifles, just wondering.

I'm not aware of any "seals" in the barrel lugs. Was it loose twisting wise or loose yaw wise.

Loose yaw wise at the receiver. I went and got my 572 back from the 'smith. He had it too long for my taste and never got it done. Cranky old guy. I figured he would have passed on before he got to it. Seems to shoot o.k. I'll get it to someone else.
