I have a M1879 Revolver ..Made in 1882 ..The one with the long barrel. 90% finish. Wood good . All serial numbered parts. Someone cut the lanard ring off.
Any data or what it is worth.

    Hi Flanreys.......welcome to TFF.

Your Model 1879 10.55mm Reichs Revolver is worth:

    Exc. - $1000
    V.G. - $700
    Good - $500

    Add 20% for Mauser-built revolvers.

The cut off lanyard ring will decrease the collector value somewhat, but I don't know how much.

Info is from the 2nd Edition of The Standard Catalog of Military Firearms.
