I have a Oesterr Waffenfabr-Ges Steyr Mannlicher Schoenauer in 6.5x57. It is in prestine condition and is all original. I'd appreciate any information on the rifle and its value. Thanks, Chuck.

    6MM-Man...

It apears you have a 1956 MC carbine. The 6.5X57 chambering has lead me to this. It was only offered in the 1956 rifle line, and in 1961 it is not listed. This series of rifles was manufactured from 1965-61. Your double set triggers were an extra cost option back in the day. $1,700 for the rifle and another 250 for the triggers....So around $2K. As for the scope and mounts you should add something like another $400-$500, and don't seperate these from the rifle as they were custon fitted by a gunsmith for just this particular rifle. The 6.5X57 is a impressive round ballistically, just not encountered here in the states much. Very fine rifle. Hope you enjoy it.

    Regards, Kirk
