Here is a Marlin carbine, caliber 45-90, mfg 1896. Well worned but the barrel is good inside. Any guess at all about the value should be very much appreciated.
    Best regards,

i'm sure some one will be along with a knowledgeable answer for you soon but----id guess in the +$3000 range. but--
ain't the reciever usually engraved with snoopy draggin a blanket?

    its one of 18,000 made between 1895 & 1917.
is it stapmed "Special Smokeless Steel' on the barrel?

Thanks for your answer Claude Clay.
No "Special Smokeless steel" on the barrel.
It is a well used gun, but not abused.
    Sorry, for the bad picture.
