    I have a Marlin .22 caliber rifle. I beleive it is a Marlin 101g or 100g. I bought it at a estate sale for 7 dollars. Its a single shot, and the stock was cut in half then reattached at one point (im guessing to make it easier for a kid to shoot). The gun came missing its bolt, I beleive i looked before and the bolt would cost about 75 dollars. Would it even be worth getting this gun into working shape?

    Don't bother. Even if you patched it up it would hardly be worth more than $25.

    It appears you now have a $7 tomato stake.
    The 101 Books for $80 perfect Cond.
    The bolt from Numrich is $42 but they don't have one.

    Your only chance for a bolt is to put a WTB on some of the forums and hope someone has one laying around or watch ebay;

    I got lucky with a WTB for a H&R Ace bolt that was only made in 1946/47
