    The screw should be 8-32 X 1".

Don't use break fluid on trigger assembly. If it's painted metal it could damage the paint. If it's synthetic, either way it will damage your red safety marker.

Actually a great many came with the flat type handle, I have 3 such models myself in varying years etc. all with L.S.H.O.. I have one that came with the round handle but it's actually a 795.

I have a model 600 with the gold trigger which is a model 60 made for sale at Big 5 for three years back in the 80's.

"Marlin Model 600 - Made specially for Big 5 Sporting Goods between 86 and 89. This model is very rare because of the short production run, and little info is known. Came with a supremely durable gold-plated metal trigger instead of the standard polymer trigger, and a stainless steel breech bolt in lieu of the blue steel breech bolt on the Model 60."

You mean brake parts cleaner? Brake fluid will eat any paint or plastic that isnt polyethylene based. Brake parts cleaner shoukd be OK, but as fuzebox said may take the red safety mark off.

I use rem oil with the spray tube and compressed air to clear the debris.

    The stock..

Oil everything that moves and wipre the whole thing down with the rag you used to wipe away teh excess. Dont over do itm especially if youre SBGOing. That stuff goes a long way beth.

Yep. look on the bolt assembly for the light marks from the reciever and bolt rubbing together and put a drop on each light spot and put it back together.
