We're in Portland, ME, and Marlin just had littleneck clams on the half-shell, steamed longnecked clams (steamers), and a 2-lb boiled lobster. He wanted to order fried clams for dessert, but I talked him out of it. ;)

Sounds great, I hope you had a good time. I used to feast on all of those when I lived in PEI Canada. Good Times!

Gee whiz, Ginga! Portland's not MAINE! Portland's just Upper Massachusetts! REAL MAINE doesn't start 'till you're Down East* of the Penobscot River or north of Bangor! :D

Seriously.....hope you're having a wonderful time....and if you get down around Bucksport, say hello to the the folks for me! :)

*For all of you "Furriners", heading North & East in Maine is DOWN, and heading South & West is UP. This comes from the sailing ship days when Maine would ship lumber & ice from Maine to Boston and sail back with manufactured goods. The prevailing winds in the Gulf of Maine are from the Southwest, so sailing back to Maine was "DOWN"....as in Down Wind". :)

  11. I sure envy you and Marlin the seafood! Tell Marlin to bring me home one of those lobsters! I could eat lobster and drawn butter for breakfast! Glad you are having a great time. This is the prettiest time of year in that neck of the woods.

Hey Marlin, Have one or two of those Lobsters for me and also another serving of the steamers. Dang I miss the seafood I used to enjoy while over seas. Stay safe on the highways. catfish
