Ok pins done and its a nice fit for the collar, pic's when i get the batteries recharged

i'll do the collar tomorrow , cause i've a question

the two collars are differing lengths but thats easy to file level so i'll leave it ,

or match it, your call , no worries to me either way

the face of the original is worn , a lot so i'm thinking to add 1 thousands of a inch to the measurement to cut the pin relief to bring it back to what i think was original before the wear ,

thoughts ? its what i'd normally do and rarely have to crack out the 600 grade wet and dry sticks to take pressure off, but thats the down side and i wont know that until i send it back to you and you fit it , so am asking what ya think ..

    cheers

That sounds good jack.I can do the final fitting when I put it together. The new collar looks longer on the bottom ware it looks tappered so what do you think about splitting the difference and I can take off from both ends intill it fits? Do I have enough steel on the top to work with (if I need to take off some)?
Or do you think that the retaining pin cut should be equal distance as the old one from the top and just take off the bottom intill it fits?
After reading what i typed maybe the 2nd idea is better .
