Check that popup closely; is it micromedia, or macromedia7?
I'm getting the same kind of thing, with the latter.
Let me know what you find, and I'll do the same.

It is Macromedia most likely. A lot of advertisers on various sites use Macromedia flash to display their ads. E greeting cards also use Macromedia. I primarily use FireFox as my web browser and I have it set to not use or download Macromedia. FireFox just displays a bar under the tool bar asking if you want download the plugin. It goes ahead and loads the rest of the web page. IE will not load a web page until you accept or reject Macromedia. I do have Macromedia installed on IE so that if I need flash I use IE to visit those sites.
