I've had my Thunder for years. I believe its a Model T45. I've fired everything thru it except 45-70. I know the T70's where designed for 45-70.
I know 45 Colts have a bullet diameter of .454 and 45-70 Government are
.458. If my Thunder is a T45 can it fire 45-70? Is there a detail on the revolver which indicates its model design? I'm only curious, not delusional.
Anyone there know anyone or tried doing this? If so, what happened?

    Thank you for your consideration.

They made 2 models, the T45 chambered for 45 LC/410 and the T70 chambered for 45-70. ONLY the T70 is chambered for the 45-70 and that model is the only one that you should try to shoot 45-70 in.
