    Wow......it's amazing how many of those I remember. Brings back a lot of memories.

    The Navy in WWII even had a special "Gedunk Cruiser" just to deliver it to the fleet...a concrete merchant ship that could produce like 5000 pounds a day.

    And all large warships had their own gedunk equipment, and when Nimitz was in subs in the 30s, he insisted all US Subs had the equipment too...so while on patrol, the sailors might have to drink tuba or torpedo juice to get drunk, but at least they got their sugar fix regularly!
