In our Constitution it gives us the right to form militias. Does anyone else think militias will rise if it comes to it?

Yes, but you dont talk about it or brag about what you are doing. My Dad was invovled in several aroung the county for years before he died. He would talk to poeple about things going on today 30 years ago and poeple thought he was nuts.

I think that is going to be word of mouth only. I'd bet NSA,FBI,ATF,HS, etc are keeping a real sharp eye out and will be trying to infiltrate and have some excuse to swoop down and bust everybody, steal their guns and put them in the gulag er prison.

The powerful arm of the Democratic Party known as the Southern Poverty Law Center even sees the Boy Scouts as a Militia. The Liberals have used the antimilita movement to control any group that disagrees with the left wing agenda.

They have churches on their list of militas. These churches are anti gay marriage and preach moral values. The anti milita movement is being used to assault any group who in not pro left.:(

Under the Pa. Constitution, all men, (presumably also all women) between that ages of 16-65 are automatically in the State Militia. They can be called out with or without arms, placed under control of the Sheriff or other appointed legal authority for whatever duty is necessary for the safety and well being of the population. That is still in effect, because if the Pa. National guard is activated for Federal service, there is no other force available to assist the local law enforcement. They can direct traffic, aid people in time of emergency etc. BUT always under command of the Local Sheriff or other authority!

get out and meet people. go to gun shows and talk to people you see there, hang out around your local hunting/gun stores, talk to your neighbors, friends, and coworkers. take professional prepper and tactical training; some of the instructors are sure to know of a group you can join.

some tips for starting out(these learned by hard experience):

if you join a militia's public online forum, assume it is just that: public. their views/beliefs are unlikely to line up exactly with everything they say on the forum. you have to earn their trust, and they yours.

also, be discreet. don't go handing out your real name and phone number for their leaders to contact you right away. attend at least a couple of meet & greets and at least one training exercise before giving out any personal information.

keep in mind that it isn't just an online forum like TFF; things you say and insults you hurl CAN and WILL have an effect on you in real life. therefore it would behoove you to save the mom jokes for CoD.

that's all i can think of for now.

The biggest problem I see with formin militias is that big brother watches everythin they deem suspicious. If a bunch of people are gettin together then you can bet yer bottom dollar that they are gonna look fer the reason why. Not sayin don't do it, just us yer head and be careful of who you trust.

Hey... when a bunch of people get together in our area... It usually means there is going to be a bon-fire... beverages, and food!... If big brother wants to come out and have a bite, they best bring dessert!... when they leave.. then the real gathering starts.
