When I acquired this sword it had a poorly done Model 1860 replacement grip, although the sword is an imported Model 1840. I found a maker's (or importer's?) mark on the tang--see photo. Looks like C.KORTENJ with the N backwards. It might also be C.KORTEN.J Does anybody recognize this?
