My Smith & Wessons

Discussion in 'Centerfire Pistols & Revolvers' started by jpmccr, Nov 20, 2007.

  1. Here they are at last: Model 19-2 (.357 Magnum), Model 28-2 (.357 Magnum), and finally two pictures(one with Stags and the other with original walnut grips) of my Model 48 (.22 Magnum). Comments and advice are always welcome. . . . . .

The first one is .357 mag? I'll bet its a handfull...
My favorite is the second one. The 357 with the longer barrel....
Years ago i owned a S&W with an 8" barrel "if" i remember right? And it
was a limited edition. I borrowed some money from my cousin and let him keep it as collateral. He sold it because he was mad at S&W at the time... I was more than a little ticked when i found out he had done that. I got him back for that. I won't say how it did it, but got him back. :D

  4. I was really surprised as well with the first one. Until I saw it on the side of the barrel. It is a neat piece though . . . . .
  5. Nice collection. :) My advice...send them to me for safekeeping! :D

    I have a model 10, 28, 686 & a 642 . I love them all!

Bruce I think they would be better off in MY new gun room then in Calf. :D;)
  7. You could display them right alongside your new Sig, right Ron? :D;):p

Very nice collection! I love shooting my 28. My 19 does not get as much range time, but I like the gun.

    Thanks for sharing.

Real nice! I have a snubby 357, too, and it is really not bad to shoot. Better then my Super Blackhawk was!! My Glock 40S&W can excite me, too. Only have one over 4" these days, a S&W 586.

While I have several semis (9s, 40s, 45s, 380s), I really love the wheelies. Have a few S&Ws (38s, 357s, 41) - all blue as guns should be - and had a Python until my spouse got it on her CCW and it is now her carry gun! She said "get another" ... so ... looking at a S&W 45ACP wheelie. Always intrigued me, and have never played with moon clips.

I am really a trap/skeet nut. Loaded 100 rounds of 357 for the spouse tonight. Could have loaded 1000 shotgun rounds in the same time! I complained (a bit) ... "so, get a progressive rifle/pistol machine!" Have a RCBS Rockchucker, has anyone tried the progressive add-on kit???? Recommendations for Santa???
