NEED ADVICE FOR NON-SINGLE SHOT 22 FOR SHORT ARMED 11YR OLD
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a customer that has an 11yr old girl that needs a
    short/youth stock .22-rifle for hunting this season/soon!

Anyone got any suggestions? NOTE: it can't be a single
shot rifle, it can be either bolt, pump or semi-auto.

    Thanks, Tac

Hmm A quick look at the manufactures website does not show a youth rifle that is not a single shot.

I am partial to tube feed .22s so I would order a Marlin bolt action with a tube feed. They make a clip fed also. Then cut the stock to fit

How about the short version of the Taurus Model 62 pump. Looks like you could cut the shoulder stock down pretty easily. www.taurususa.com/m62.html

CZ makes that bolt action youth size rifle...has a 5 shot magazine. The mag doesn't come with it, but it is available for a few extra bucks. I have hands on with these...nice pieces for around $150 bucks in my neck-o-the-woods.

How short? Think AK-22. It may be a little heavy though.

I'd say a Ruger 10-22 is a solid choice for a youth rifle. There are many options for customization, meaning that the stock could be changed out for something longer as she grows.

Marlin 795...options for customization aren't quite as huge as the 10/22, but definitely plenty of options there.

Plus, it costs WAY LESS and is More precise out-of-the-box than a 10/22.

All you really need is a set of Tech-Sights, a Sling & 2 extra mags, and you are ready for Appleseed.

$129 at Academy Sports, often found at $99 at Dick's Sporting Goods.

Marlin currently has a $25 rebate, which makes it far and away the BEST RIMFIRE DEAL IN THE USA!!

Oh, and...mods cost less for the Marlin too.
    Here's my 795 with a Folding Ramline stock...the stock only cost $25, as opposed to $89 for a 10/22 :D
