    Hey guys,

Im wondering if someone can tell me what my new (old) gun is worth??

It is an older 22LR simiauto rifle. The stamp on the barrel says Pioneer model 27A Gamble stores Incorperated.
22 long rifle smokeless greased only.

This gun is in very good condition and shoots great. I picked it up at another estate sale but have no idea what it is worth. I paid $50.00 for it. Is it a keeper ???

Any information you can give me on this gun would be helpful.

    Thank you,
    Shane

  2. The gun was almost certainly made by Savage, probably one of the 87 series autoloaders.

$50 is a good price to pay for a steel-and-walnut .22, in my book.

    Thanks AntiqueDr,
I had a feeling it was made by Savage but wasn't sure.
Anyway it is a very nice old gun and still looks great.

    Thank you for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!

H&R made several models with the Pioneer name

  5. Pioneer was in fact a model of H&R, but that was not a house brand for them. The 'Pioneer' guns made for Gamble's were almost all made by Savage/Stevens.
