While at a gun shop last month I spied a really nice looking lever rifle, the Henry Big Boy! I started thinking how nice it would be to have then a few days ago I was back in the shop buying a small revolver and had to have another look. I was hoping it would be the 44 magnum caliber but it was the 357 instead.
The gun is a beauty with the solid brass section but I can't help but think how hard that might be to keep looking sharp and would hate to make a decision based largely on the guns appearance then six months later regret buying it because of nicks, and scratches which would likely show up more easily in the shiny brass.
I would like to hear from anyone who has one in any caliber as to how theirs is holding up.
Also I have seen images of lever rifles in stainless finishes rather than blued but don't know who makes them, any ideas?
