hello, I'm new to this site and I have a guy wanting to trade me his Mossberg 500 turkey special xxfull accu choke camp 12gauge 20inch for my Remington model 770 bolt action .308. I just wanted to get some opinions on if anyone thinks its a fair, bad, or good trade. Just don't wanna trade my rifle if its worth more than the Mossberg.. Thanks
The value of something is placed on it by the owner and the prospective owner. What me or woolyworm or Highboy or The Blue Book of Gun Values thinks they are worth is just an opinion.
Do you like your Remington 770 .308? If so, it has value. If not, it is valueless, regardless of what others think.
Do you want the Mossberg 500 Turkey Special? If so, it has value.
Do you want the Mossberg MORE than you want to keep the Remington? If so, this is a good deal.
Only you can decide. Whether you make the trade or not, someone is sure to say, "Boy, you were DUMB to do that".
Can you can hunt with a rifle where you live or is it shotgun only? Do you hunt? If you will use the shotgun a lot more then it may be a good idea for you.
New purchase dollars the 2 guns are close in price, it really depends on if you want a tightly choked shotgun or a rifle. 500 shotguns have a variety of aftermarket options and are good guns, the rest is up to you.

on my way to get it now
