I like it a lot! It has a feel close to the 1911 which is my favorite gun. It digests lead as well as copper coated also. Great trigger out of the box. And it is highly customizable without a gunsmith.
Mine was made in '89, so I can't tell you what the new ones are like.
I got this pistol as part of a package deal in a trade some 20 years ago. It was fun to play with for awhile, but that long barrel and scope became a PITA.
I'm actually loking to go the other way with my Buckmark. I've got the 5.5" and am looking for 7.25". Yours looks good in its new configuration. Should be handier for general plinking.
The reflex optics are great! Got it sighted today. Way better than the scope! My 2 grandsons and nephew love shooting it too! We had a ball shooting today!
I have a Browning Buckmark with a TacSol barrel that I use as a backup gun to my Model 41 Smith's for USPSA Steel Challenge. I prefer it to the Ruger due to the grip angle and the ease of getting a good trigger. It is extremely accurate and 100% reliable. Very easy to find at excellent prices.
