Following a recent thread, and after a great deal of consideration, I have negotiated the purchase of two Leatherman Charge TTi's. One for me and the other for my son.

In fact several I weighed up were excellent and would have been more than enough, but a choice had to be made, so I stuck with the same make as my old one.

Indeed 358, I was especially impressed by the access to four tools without having to open it, the easy locking mechanism and the elimination of sharp edges when using the pliers.

It is an impressive tool. I purhased one for each of my supervisors as a Recognition Award.

Do you know, I had a good reply to this but having my daughter surfing these threads prevents me....:(

I carry the SOG multi-tool because it was a gift, I have used it for almost 11 years and it hasn't failed me yet.

I have carried an original Wave® since it first came out up to and including today. It has been a very good friend and continues to be.

I keep the straight blade razor sharp and frequently use it in restaurants for cutting steak. I detest a serrated edge and many of the restaurant knives are falling apart or not much better than the side of a metal ruler.....

Before that I carried an original Leatherman tool before they had any variety to choose from. I feel naked without it. The only time I haven't had it is when SoMo and I have flown, twice, and I had to take it off to make it through security.

You made an excellent choice, Tran. :) :)
  10. Not to worry, Tranter, we won't tell. :D;)

All Licentiousness aside, I still have the first Leatherman tool, a PST, I
bought in 1984 from Cabela's in anticipation of a motorcycle trip. My
Leatherman Super Tool was purchased in the mid 90s.

Tough little buggers. The PST is in the tackle box now and after 25 years
still works like a charm and the Super Tool is in the truck and that gets a
    regular workout too.

I carry a CRKT M16-14 ZSF now. Easily the best knife I have ever owned.
It is just as tough as my Leathermans.

I pulled it out of my pocket at a Home Depot type store here in the
Mid-West to cut a couple of plastic wraps off of something for the wife and
some guy said,"you'd better put that away before someone calls the cops."
I said, "It's not a gun" He said, "Yeah but it looks dangerous."

I said, "yeah but I'm not, today." I smiled and put it away.

Good one 358...on earlier post that our "red coated friend " mentioned, I hope u recall I touted the SOG similiarly...as good as it gets.

Of course..if I did get a new tool , I would hope to have the good manners NOT to run out and post about it or show off to everyone.........

but, you know how some are...overseas...:p:p:p:p:p:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

    :D:D:D:D:D:D:DLOL......:p
