    Welcome longbolt

This is a version of the Browning A5 and loads the same way. you can load it with the bolt open or closed.

With the bolt closed just push shells into the magazine tube. Then pull the bolt back and puch the button on the side to release the bolt and a shell will go into the chamber.

WIth the bolt open you can drop a shell directly into the chamber and push the button to close the bolt, then you can continue to push shells into the magazine tube.

With the bolt open if you push a shell into the magazine tube it will automatically drop back and release the bolt sending the bolt into the chamber. This is the Browning speed feed system.

It is the same as the A5, except the A5 has a magazine release. The magazine release locks shells from feeding into the chamber. Very handy when crossing a fence, just flip on the mag release button and remove the shell from the chamber. When ready to go again just flip the mag release button back and a shell automaticly drops back and releases the bolt and gets put into the chamber ready to fire.

You should be able to get a owners manual for this gun at the Remington website.
In 49 states ignorance is a crime. In the other one it is bliss.
