Phew, I'll give no comment then, except to say thanks for posting that link Pops. I'll be forwarding that to my socialist Rep. (like that is going to do any good.)

What's really sad is that he, a non-American, gets it and we "Americans" don't.
Thanks for posting this, Pops. I'll have to pass it on.

I'm European "by trade", anyway I belive a mosque at Ground Zero is only offensive! They don't accept any other Church on their countries, WHY must we accept a mosque at Ground Zero?!

Yes, but this is the United States of America, not "their" country. People have Constitutional rights here. They DON'T have a Constitutional right to build a building, however, which is what many people don't understand here. I thought the members of the community could vote it down or something like that.

Their freedom of religion is not what is being challenged here. Some liberals seem to think that these people are not being allowed to freely practice their religion. That isn't the case. What is being challenged is whether or not they can build a building. I don't know why they can't just build it someplace else. I don't know if they're just trying to stir the pot or what.

Well, leave it up to the people in New York to decide. If voters don't want the building, then they should and are writing their Congressmen to get what they want.

All I can say is that if the "Islamic Cultural Center" does get built, it is going to start up a lot of violence and hatred, and it may not be a bad idea for them to buy a good insurance policy on the building.

I also find it hypocritical of supporters of this "Islamic Cultural Center" because these people are the same types of people who try to push gun shops and things like that out of the cities. They're so against the Second Amendment, and our right to possess the means to "keep and bear arms..." Yet when some religious group wants to erect a building and people oppose it, they come running and say "oh we have to protect their Constitutional rights." It has never been a Constitutional right to build a building.

In the town where I live we had and have troubles enough with the islamic community. They want build a mosque near the centre of the town and often we must preside over the area to keep off "contacts" between the inhabitants and the islamics (almost all from Arabian Countries). So many troubles, so many protests... and the place is not at Ground Zero....! Hypocrisy to talk about their rights to have a place where pray. Hypocrisy call it "Centre of Culture". They don't accept any Centre of Culture in their countries. Again: why we must accept their one?!
