I made the missus an honest woman exactly 20 years ago. How has she put up with me this long? How have I put up with her mother this long?

Either way, I'm an undeservedly lucky man. Yes, there IS a God. :)

  2. Congrats Pat!! My spouse and I are coming up on 31 years in February, so long-term marriages are possible despite what the statistics say! :D

  3. Wow congrats to both of ya fellas:)

I only did almost 8 years before she gave me parole lol

Thanks Pistol for your kind thoughts. Yeah, it's a testimony to compromise, empathy, respect, and putting your partner first very often.

I truly never thought I could do it. In my teens and very early 20's I was an accomplished skirt chaser (not very proud of that now, of course) and found the concept of monogamy very foreign. But I know now that if you really wanna change... you can. I'm proof.

Here's an early Happy Anniversary wish for you and your missus, Pistol.

  5. Happy Anniversary, Pat & Mrs. Hurley!:)

    You're right about this statement!

" Yeah, it's a testimony to compromise, empathy, respect, and putting your partner first very often. "

Tough just to keep it all in perspective...

    Many Happy Returns! :)

Somebody asked me the other day how long I've been married to FirstInLine. I just said "Not long enough, yet."

  7. I just found out by text that a friend of mine got married this p.m.

And I dunno where he is and I'm too drunk to drive where ever he might to be if I knew to go to kick his *ss.

  8. Delta, it all comes down to a very simple logical argument:

Premise 1: Marriage is an institution.
    Premise 2: Marriage is love.
    Premise 3: Love is blind.
Conclusion: Therefore, marriage is an institution for the blind! :D;)

Hey Pat, First of all congratulations to both of you, I firmly believe that it takes both to make a marriage work. So both of you deserve congratulations. My poor wife has been putting up with my nonsence for 39 years come April of 2008:eek:  I think she just took pity on any other unsuspecting females out there and decided to keep me off the market.;) catfish
