I can't believe nobody hit the $200M then $241M then the $290M jackpots, now it's up to over $1/3 BILLION dollars.

That's about $255.1M cash option and about $170-$175M take home CA$H.

Unreal, so any players out there?

(The last super big $336M jackpot this year was hit by an 81 year old lady from RI.)

I'll be in for two bucks, its a suckers bet anyway. two chances in 85,000,000 are statistically about the same as 1,000.

whatever ya do, DON'T bet the farm.

You gotta play to win....and someone will win it.

I promise that if I win...........the next giveaway will be for a Barrett 50 cal with ammo, a custom Kimber 1911 the following month, then a over the top AR after that, then a Dillon press decked out........etc, etc, etc....I would also pay for the site's cost for 5 years (for starters).

I would be the best loved person here.

Well with ~$1/3 BILLION on the line no use asking what would you buy....it's anything you want.

    How about:

Do you play? Yes or no.:dontknow:

If yes how much? Play every drawing? More on the big pools?

Oh yeah, the odds: Jackpot* 1 in 175,711,536

$250,000 1 in 3,904,701 (or $1,000,000 with the extra $1 megaplier, I'd play it also)

    $10,000 1 in 689,065

Approximate overall probability of winning anything, even $2 is 1 in 39.89

I know now if I'd hit the BIG one our church has been on hard times for a decade+, had to shut the K-8 school down.

I'd open that back up and make the tuition real cheap! ;)

As James Gregory's uncle would say: "Shoot, I wouldn't waste my money...who'd want to pay that much in taxes?"

You have more of chance of winning money by gambling. Poker is my favorite game

Oh that's what my bro-in-law thought but he and 15 of his coworkers thought what the heck, they played a $26M PA lotto.....and hit. (it was all on TV, in the papers back then)

Had to split with other winning tickets, ended up with an up front check for about $28,800 or ~$17,000 after withholding plus 25 more each year.

Oh, they played two weeks.

Yeah I done that before with some co workers before I became self employed. We spent over $1000 dollars on lottery tickets one time and came out winning $400 dollars out of all that. I prefer gambling because in the last 2.5 years I won over 13k in poker and thats just friends.

No, that's the "cash option" rather than getting the full $356 mil over some period of time (20 years ??).

Yes the Mega Millions sets up an annuity for 26 years, some states like OHIO in their own games have a cash option for 30 years, some sweepstakes are 40 years! (read the fine print  )

Remember the "Bush Tax Cuts" expire the end of 2012 if Congress does nothing should you be lucky TAKE THE CASH OPTION!!!

And as of Monday afternoon the jackpot has grown to:

Next Jackpot: $363 Million Cash Option Value: $259.8 Million!
