Picked up a nice, one owner, Nylon 66MB the other day, I believe w/a DOM of Feb. '70. Just sharing some pics with you before it gets the scope treatment. Thanks for looking.
With the one I have, open sights it is extremely accurate with CCI Blazers. I also had a scope on mine twice. For whatever reason, the scope would not stay zeroed in.
I put two different scopes on it different times and it would shoot amazingly accurate, put it back into the safe and the next time I'd get it out, it would be shooting off! (?)
I never did figure out why. I checked and double checked the that everything was tightened up as should be and was always checking the four long screws that holds the receiver cover on, always tight.
Still a mystery as to why it would not hold zero with a scope. (?)
That was my thoughts and still is. But, with everything "snug", I can't figure it?
I rebuilt the rifle a few years back and bought all new screws for the receiver cover and basically, all new parts I replaced in the rifle, minus a couple or so.
Would have to look to see what I didn't replace on the rifle. (inner pats)
