    Definition of Outdoor Barbecuing

It's the only type of cooking a "real" man will do. When a man volunteers
to do such cooking, the following chain of events is put into motion.

    (1) The woman goes to the store.
    (2) The woman fixes the salad, vegetables, and dessert.
    (3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it on a tray along
with the necessary cooking utensils, and takes it to the man, who is
    lounging beside the grill.
    (4) The man places the meat on the grill.
    (5) The woman goes inside to set the table and check the vegetables.
    (6) The woman comes out to tell the man that the meat is burning.
    (7) The man takes the meat off the grill and hands it to the woman.
[8] The woman prepares the plates and brings them to the table.
    (9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes.
    (10) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed "her night off." And, upon
seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there's just no pleasing some
    women.

    Mith,

For some strange reason, I have to agree with your wife.

LarryK is the resident cook on this board, think I'll hang
with him on the BBQ thing.

    That was pretty funny Mith!

Homer...you and anybody else just need to come on over about 6p CST tonight for supper!! Guess what we be having?
Your right! I am doing a mix of country and slab ribs in the slow cooker. I wanted to do them on the grill but no can do today. I put those bad boys on at a little after 7 this morning. Cornbread with homemade hashbrowns and onions to round out the meal. Brewskis to wash it all down!!

    and potatoes?????? lol!

    Fried, fried and more fried.

This is agony..reading all this good to eat stuff...I swear the first thing I will do when I can eat again (well normal)..is put some chicken on the spit and corn on the cob on the bar-b-que..might add some steaks, a burger or two and what ever else I can fit on.then I will graze for two days!!!

Donna...frying is right! LOL!! But, I do really try to keep it healthy. Like with the homemade hashbrowns, I use Pam spray and just the right amount of olive oil to more or less give the food a delicious but also healthy touch.
I guess it best to say, I don't "deep fry" any more.
I use to dabble in cooking as more of a hobby. But, after my divorce 10 yrs ago...cooking became a matter of survival! LOL!! BTW...I do damn good biscuits too!
