I Figured that out after a better look. I'm new at this 1911 stuff, but i'm learning. Always been more of a wheel gun man. I've almost got 1000 rounds through it. They are a pleasure to shoot.

I'm down to 2 now (and having withdrawls). The Daly lives with me most of the time, the LLama is with me during yard work or other times when impact/water damage can occur.:)

My latest acquisition is this hard chrome Colt Special Combat Government in .38 Super that I bought to go with my early production two-tone SCG in .45ACP:

I paid $300 for it, just picked it up yesterday. It is one of the Lipsey's Sistema Colt 1927's.
The pistol was chromed by the prior owner, which is understandable now that I've read about the condition these were in originally. Eeverything works that I can see. There is no play in the slide to frame fit. The pistol passes all the function tests, and there is sharp rifling in the barrel, although there is also a little bit of pitting in two of the groves. There is still minor evidence of pitting on the frame under the chrome. It is a 1957 with matching numbers outside of the magazine.
There is no crest or organization name on the pistol.
I think I did OK on this deal.
