Heard on the radio the other day that the Democrats are working on new legislation to combat "fake news". Now I'm not a conspiracy theorist but that has first ammendment violation written all over it. Who is going to decide what's fake news? And how are they going to go about sensoring it? Did these people not read the constitution? This stuff keeps going and we'll be having to brush up on ingsoc by reading the newspeak dictionary so we can try to avoid thoughtcrime and being hauled off to the ministry of justice where we wI'll fall even farther behind on the regulations coming out of the ministry of truth and won't be able to party like it's 1984 with everyone else. If you caught those references I like you already. We can break out the victory gin and hang out by the telescreen

The last 8 years have been nothing but Fake News. Oh yeah because we had a Fake American as POTUS (Piece of Trash US). Now he is going to throw a going away party for himself, using Tax Payers Money to have all the Snowflake Celebrities attend and provide entertainment. Gotta wonder what kind of therapy the Obama daughters are going to need when they finally realize what frauds and criminals their parents really are.

What a laugh. Demorats are the champions of global warming, the biggest piece of fake news to affect us all. Then there is the idea that Obamacare is good for you. The Russians threw the election through their hacking activities. That's only scratching the surface.

The Democrats are champions at skewing, slewing, inventing news to progress their agenda.

Fake news stories whatever have been around forever. They have their panties in a wad because they no longer have the biggest franchise dealing in information. There are already laws pertaining to false information, slander and libel. Somebody passes bad info that hurts you that is your option.
This whole "proper speak" malarkey shouts big brother. Who exactly gets to decide what is true, false, helpful, hurtful, nice, mean...........
There is no place for such nonsense outside safe zones and there is no place for safe zones in an adult world.

Well if the news is not through approved media channels then it is fake news. Wasn't that easy? The media can get their "approved for dissemination" license from the current regime, all others to be shut down and legal action taken.

There are politicians in Europe already calling for a Ministry of Truth, straight out of 1984. We are not far behind. Its all about control of media and speech. Dissenting opinions and those in opposition to the official government truth will be censored. I hope it doesn't get there since if it does...well then its time to water the tree of liberty. The leftists claim they are fighting fascism when they are the fascists that need to be dealt with.

Fake news maestro Dan Rather is teaching an online course titled the "Truth in News Course". Initial sign up fee was $150.00, but has since been slashed to $10.00. Kinda like Cankles' last book that hit the shelves at about forty bucks and is now closeout/giveaway priced at $4.95.

The modern media expects trust when most of what they run is unconfirmed, pretty much all our reporting out of say Syria or Ukraine for example, or from anonymous sources that we are just supposed to blindly believe in, like anything in the current Russian hack hysteria. There is very little of substance on the news today, they frequently just run whatever report the Government hands them but in a way that tried to make you think this is first hand reporting rather than regurgitation. What passes for analysis is a joke, for example see every analysis of the Trump campaign. Most news analysis is modeled after John Stewart I think. Just sad.

Joseph Goebbels would be proud of the modern Demoncrat Party.

Deciding the truth is deciding that the science of Globe Man Made Climate Change has been decided.
