Looking for advice on powders for reloading 270 win. Heard some good things about IMR4350 but would like to hear from people about their results on powders they use also bullets. I shoot a remington model 700sp 1-10" twist

I know IMR4350 works wonders in it's parent cartridge, but not sure on the .270

I use both IMR4350 and H4350 for 140gr and lighter bullets.
I kinda like slower burning for heavier bullets though...just my personal preference since 4350 seems to give about the same velocities.

Typically, dad runs the Winchester bulk 130gr SP or Hornady 140gr BTSP through his 700. It is "minute-of-deer" with the Winchesters but is a real sub-MOA sweetheart with those 140s.

The 150gr elk load I brewed up for him uses the 150gr Nosler Partition pushed by H4831 @ 2750fps.

i bought a bunch of 1# powder jugs to try out a few.. i've been happy pushing my 30-06 rem 700 with 180 and 150gr bullets with imr 4064

I plan on trying it in my 270 as well.

I've used IMR4350 in the .270 as well as H4831sc. Both in 130 and 140 gr. loads using the Barnes TSX.

Bullets 130 and less work well with IMR4350, 130 and heavier need a slower propellant for best results. IMR4831 would be a good choice for that.

I have found a happy load with RE 22 behind a 130 grain Berger Hunting VDL bullet It holds it head well I a,m shooting a Remington 700 with a 24" barrel and getting just under 3000 FPS with groups around 1" at 100 yards.
