My little princes graduated from preschool today. Its been some ride. My daughter is adopted. She's also my second cousin. Her birth mom is a meth addict. We got her at 9 months old. She's deaf in one ear and has a 30% loss in her other. She turns 6 in aug. Last year we took her out of preschool (she was in their junior class) and put her in Kindergarten. She was kicked out in 2 weeks. Ok well not kicked out but they revoked her transfer and sent her back to her school of residence. her school of residence is the worst school in the district and we had put her in another. Well she wasn't ready for kindergarten anyways IMO. Very immature and with her hearing loss very behind her pears. The preschool didn't think she was ready either. We put her back in preschool. And tonight I got to watch her graduate. Something I thought we had missed out on last year. I am so proud of my daughter. She has come so far.

    They do grow up quick!
My grandson will be going into 1st grade and granddaughter will be going into 9th grade.
It seems like yesterday i was getting yelled at for using duck tape on my little girls dipper (the sticky tape on it did not stick).

Yea, they do grow up fast! Appliancedude, I am so glad you were able, and willing, to take this child into your home. I can only imagine what her future would have been like moving around form foster home, to forster home. My oldest granddaughter has completed high school, and has a full time job. I suppose that next I'll hear she is getting married!! Dang I'm old!
