Query. Win highwall action

    After a Winchester highwall action are they hard to find up there?
    down here in Australia they are as rare as hens teeth.:D :D

    Just out of curiosity, what do you guys pay for a decent (all correct numbers etc) SMLE

    Hello swanshot,

    Not exactly sure where you are referring to when you say "up there" :confused:, but here in the States, original high-wall actions (and even complete rifles) are not exactly a dime-a-dozen... or inexpensive.

    I just bought a decent high-wall chambered for 40-70 Ballard, and it was a really good deal at only $2025.00:). A good friend of mine recently bought a real early thick-frame with the octagon shaped receiver ring and he paid $750.00 for it (it was the only frame either one of us found at the entire show (Big Reno gun show last month).
