could some tell me if it would be ok to use Hodgdon powder H4831sc for reloading the 35Rem and 30 cal Carbine. Thanks for your time in this matter.

Nope. Way to slow burning for the Carbine and also to slow for the 35 Rem.

    What manuals do you have?

    First, welcome to the forum.

Second, there are many good reloading manuals out there, and we all have at least one. Most of us have several. I strongly recomend the Hornady reloading manual as a start, then add to it by purchasing others. Never use reload data that you have heard about. Look it up in the book. It will make you a better reloader.

I agree and would suggest you look to IMR 3031 or IMR 4064.

H4831SC is a heavy rifle powder, the .35 rem is a medium rifle cartridge, and the .30 carbine is a slight magnum handgun round (even though the weapon it is designed for is a small light carbine).

I recommend Hodgdons Varget for the .35 rem and Alliant 2400 for the .30 M1, most all manuals should list data for these 2 powders for these 2 cartridges...
