i can vouch for that,, had my dog take a BIG chunck out of an arm that was reaching over the fence trying to steal one of the kids bikes,,
when the cops got there,, (he said he was attacked on the sidewalk 20ft away from the fence) one of the cops told me to take my gaurd dog sign down and hide it so no one else would see it cause if we got to court it would be used to say i knew my dog was vicious !!!! he actually went and got the guy and asked him how the dog could reach 20ft to bite him,, report was dismissed as mistaken report..

I think I would rater have a simple "No Trespassing" sign just to keep lawyers off me. I handle further reinforcement verbally. if compliance doesn't follow then...

A simple hand lettered sign that say "Trespassers will be composted" works well too.

My neighbor has a sign that say TRESPASSERS WILL BE BURIED IN UNMARKED GRAVES.
He has had this up for years and never gotten any grief from it.

You are in Texas. You don't even have to post a sign. You trespass, you are fair game. I like the sign, seen even more blatent signs around here.

Musta checked around November 5th.:eek::mad:

I like those signs, but the ones I prefer the most say, Operation Identification (research it) , Active Surveillance Cameras, etc.

I'm afraid if you shoot someone, especially if you shoot them more than once, they will say it was premeditated. (not saying they will win, but look at England and Australia.) (personally if I shoot someone I do intend to shoot them more than once, the winner of the gunfight is the one who walks away.)

Also, I went to Harbor Freight (cause I'm cheap) and bought drive way motion detectors for around $20 each. I have one at the entrance to the drive (about 80 feet) and one by the house. If someone comes in the drive, an alarm chimes, if they make it to the house a second alarm chimes. They work on batteries which last about 3 months. There are better ones available.

Also the front and back have motion detector porch lights. (say $30 @)

And game cameras just in case. They have a camera out now that sends the pictures to a device hidden near it, that way the thief gets his picture took. :D

    Just some food for thought.
