Pictured is a Walther PP RZM. Now I know the Walther PPK RZM really exists and are fairly hard to get...!!!! Is there such a thing as a Walther PP RZM????
WELL, here it is and what do you think? I hope many people put their 2 cents in!
I mentioned laser engraving above, but wonder if that could be the explanation for so many fakes of all kinds turning up today. Examples are found on most S&W guns; they have been using it for years for all the markings, including the serial numbers. It could be pretty hard to tell from acid etching, though fairly easy to tell from hand engraving or stamp marking under magnification. Once there is a picture in the computer, it can be engraved on almost any surface. S&W even put pictures of Horace Smith and Daniel Wesson on some of their guns and uses the same process for special emblems that once were hand engraved.
The equipment is not very expensive and is easy to use.
On the plus side, that is why a modern S&W or Ruger revolver doesn't cost $3000 or more.
