refinishing a para p16

    i have a para ordanance p16 that has the gloss black finish on the slide and the matte black finish on the frame.it was used when i got it and the matte finish on the frame is scratched really bad.i was wanting to refinish it my self and was wanting some suggestions on some finishes that i could put on it and what is the best way to do a project like this.

    You can do a good job with Brownell's Moly-Teflon spray paint in either matt black or dark parkerized gray. It requires a completely clean surface (and worked a bit for texture) and then must be hardened or cured at 300-350 degress for 30 minutes. Below is a Colt Officers that I finished this past weekend -- I did bead blast this one first and then applied the coating. Finish is durable and thin.

    Great job, it looks like Deniro's gun in ronin accept he had a govt. model. Yours looks more handy.
