    Wood like to find out some info on this: Gallery Special,NICKLE
    receiver, PISTOL GRIP stock, hex barrel, goes 95% an nickle looks an "feels" original. No mention in Krause or Blue Book. Anyone got some GOOD literature, like Brophys Marlin or factory cats from that period?

    Standard Grade, Hammerless. Takedown caliber .22 short. Tubular magazine holds 15...24 inch octagonal barrel 22in. or 24 in. Open rear sight, bead front. Plain half-pistol-grip stock and grooved handle of walnut.Made 1909-36.

    Excellent= $450.00

    ...as a standard rule, you'd love to be able to buy at Gun trader prices...then sell using Blue Book...

    Go ahead an laff evedr hear of "special order" or Ya only go back to the 70's??
    Teel ya this the blue is orig an EZ 95%, absolutly does not look like redo on the receiver

    12B Remington .22 short Gallery Special
    1930`s price.

    Nickel receivers were common among gallery rifles of the day, and although the only Remington 12b I've had was all blue I would not rule out the possibility of a nickel receiver.

    Nickeling after manufacture would require dismounting the barrel, etc, so if the blue is original then the nickel probably is as well.

    It would certainly be easy to tell with the gun in hand.
