Not allot of info on these. Are they rare? Valuable? This has a routledge barrel and shoots 22LR shotshells.I have never shot it but someday I would like to use it for shooting sparrows inside the barn. http://www.flickr.com/photos/85591315@N00/sets/72157622888608391/
Go to the Remington web site and date code the barrel.
My guess is that any .22 rifle is worth at least $50.00
Most average .22 rifles sells for anywhere between $50 and $150.00 used.
There is nothing special about your rifle.
Remington made hundreds of thousands' of them.
Standard Catalog of Remington Firearms lists the 510SB at $250 in excellent condition, $200 in very good, $150 in good. I would probably call yours very good, but I only looked at a couple pictures rather quickly.
558,686 total Model 510s produced; I have no data as to how many of them were smooth bores.
