I have a Nylon 12 that is the bolt action. I'm lost the inner tube and am looking for one. I bought one from a guy and he told me it was from a nylon 12 but was to long. What length should I be looking for?
ON the gun it say Remington Nylon 12
J58 22 short long or long rifle
You can contact a local gunsmith to see what it would cost to re-work the tube you bought. I'll look around and see if I can find the right one for you.
I found a place that might have one, I'll call them tomorrow and see. Numrich (GunParts.com) sold out of that part. There are a couple of Nylon 66 tubes ob E Bay for $50 bid.
If Numrich had one it would be $35.
Thanks ya'll for all the help! It's my dads gun that has tons of memories for him and myself. It'll be mine someday but I want him to enjoy it for as long as possible since his dad gave it to him.
Wanlessrm
Bob's Gun Shop should have that tub for your rife, He only does business through e mail or snail mail.I called there earlier today and he tells you the order options. You can e mail him and see if he has the part.
I tried Bobs Guns in AR. In the special notes I wrote it has to be 17 1/2" long.
About two weeks later a package showed up and it was about 23" long. Not even close
to fitting.
I guess they made short barrels and long barrels. I have the short barrel and he sent my the one for the long barrel.
Ran into a guy at the gun show in Sioux Falls that claims to have a couple. I ordered them both and we'll see how this goes. Pretty soon I might own every slide but the one I'm looking for.
I'm finally in the money! Not only did I find one but the guy had 3!! Hopefully I'm set for life now.
