Can you help me identify this rifle? There are a lot of markings that are difficult to see, but this is what I think I found on various parts of the gun.

    Above Trigger: Mannlicher

    On Barrel: Safari - 12 - armi - Renato - gam371 - ????

I am guessing the gam371 is actually gamba, but I do not know.

Do you have any idea what it may be worth?

    Thanks

An interesting gun. I can't tell, is it a single shot or combination gun?

I do not have the gun in my possession at the moment, but as I remember it is an over/under.

You may be right. I seem to remember one of the rifles having two different bore sizes, but I just can not be sure. Shouldn't there be markings that tell me exactly what this is? I could not find any others then those posted, and with those I had to use a camera to read them because they were just too faint for these eyes.

    Thanks

if your gun is comparable it can be worth that. some double rifles are worth in excess of 40,000 dollars depending on model and maker

    Hi all,

I now have to sell this rifle. Can you tell me where you think the best place will be to sell this. Any and all sites, shows (Northern California), what ever ideas you have. I realize this is such a specialized item, that I have to find a real collector with some major bucks.

    Thanks

    Try Auction Arms: http://www.auctionarms.com/nonjavahome.htm

Yes, you have an specilized item, but don't get your hopes up too high. While some double rifles do go for many, many thousands (as johnlives4christ suggests), yours is not one of those. It is a fine example of a modern-made dangerous game rifle which will likely be purchased by a user, and not a collector. Note too, that the gun you linked us to at GunsAmerica did not sell with an asking price of $8,800.00

Auctions can be funny things with prices all over the board, but I'm guessing a value of $6-7,500 if you can get the bidding started.

    Contenderizer,

I would be very happy with your range if I can get it. Thanks for your input.
