I think it was a good idea.

Nice looking one and as you know, those grips do make a difference as far as grip!

I love this gun! It shoots just beautifully. Picked it up last night after a LONG 10 day wait. Took it out this morning and ran it through its paces. Smooth trigger pull, really not much recoil. My old mans had alot. VERY VERY HAPPY:D

    That's great to hear Applian.
A friend of mine has the GP100 in .357 MAG stainless and I shoot it often. If I did'nt already own a couple of revolvers in .357 mag, the GP would be on my list!

They had one at my gun shop a few months ago. Nice and clean. Asking $400 for it. It was used but good shape. I just bought my Beretta so I couldn't justify another purchase.

I am going to get one if I can find it at that price again next year.

You can't wear out a Ruger unless you truely abuse the heck out of it. Is that a Security six or a GP100? The versatility of the .357 is just too great. Shoot full power loads, shoot light loads, shoot .38 specials, it's all up to you the shooter.

I have the GP100 in six inch and it is a wonderful gun. I've shot it alot over the years and it's just as nice now as it was 20 years ago. I'm sure you will love it now and 30 years from now.

I enjoy my GP's. They are accurate and tough.
