I used to have a Savage .22WMR over 20ga. Wish I still had it. It came in a variety of combinations. There are some current manufacturers I believe.

very common to see combination guns.. usually setup as an over under. 22lr on top and .410 on bottom or even 20ga is common. savage and stevens both had one. savage was a model 24..

famous and spendy ones are drillings. usually a double side by side shotgun, and an underslung centerline rifle... see some real odd calibers.. like 16x16x8mmrimmed..e tc..

It's called a "combination gun". They come with two barrels (one rifle, one shotgun), three barrels (normally two shotgun and a rifle, although I have seen two rifle and a shotgun) and four barrels (two shotgun and two rifle).

In this country, it was usually Savage that made 'em. Various versions of the Model 24. 22 and 410, 22 Magnum and 410, 22 and 20, 22 magnum and 20, 30/30 and 20, 30/06 and 12. EAA imported a bunch from Russia, in the last ten years or so.

They were pretty popular in Europe, either in countries where you were limited in the total amount of guns you could own, so one gun that was both a rifle and a shotgun, or in countries where there were not specified seasons for each animal. So on a hunting trip you might see a pheasant and you might see a deer, and with your combo gun you could shoot either.

Springfield Armory also sold their version of the M6 Air Force Survival Gun. Either 22 LR over 410, or like mine, here, 22 Hornet over 410.

    no.. no mags...

they are break open single shot per BBL weapons.

break open. add in shells and cartridges.. 1 per bbl, of specified type. close action.

use selector for whichever bbl if it is that type of weapon.. some have exposed hammers.. etc.. whatever. choose and fire whihever bbl you want..e tc. once you have fired that bbl, it is inert untill you break open and reload one or all.

no magazine. just that single cartridge in each chamber.
